The part on the left has an irregularity, a result of the sand being broken in the process of removing the pattern board from the sand. Since it was not critical that my parts to be perfect rather that ramming up the mold again we went ahead with the pour. Yeah, that's the ticket, we did this on purpose to show what a faulty casting look like.
