Another part cast at the same time is this interesting looking part for an antique auto engine. When the pattern and cores are debugged and a part is successfully poured in aluminum the final part will be cast of brass. Note the complex cores used in the part. That is a large part of the aggravation that the foundry is battling to get good parts.
