Looking into the business end of the Pratt and Whitney J-58 engine. The concentric rings deep in the tail cone are afterburner rings. They spray raw fuel directly into the exhaust stream for a tremendous increase in thrust. The segments at the end of the tail cone (closest to the camera) can be adjusted for maximum thrust.
