2006 North American Model Engineering Show
Seagate Convention Center, Toledo Ohio
The show this year was held in a new facility in a new city. The Seagate Convention Center was quite a chnage from the chilly ice hockey arena that previous shows were held at near Detroit MI. There was the expected round of comments about how this new location was closer for some and more distance for others. As we all know it is not possible ot make EVERYONE happy. I for one liked the new place and found the attached Raddison hotel to be very convenient. On Saturday my wife took off for a couple of Christmas shops she had heard about and wound up going up to Frakenmuth MI to support the payroll at Bronners Christmas World. She didn't have to worry about getting back at any particular time to fetch me from the show and I didn't have to try to hook a ride to some distant hotel For those reasons, and a couple more which will be seen later on we really like the setup.
