This is the builders nameplate on the engine
Name plate on the high pressure cylinder. Mr. Garthshore was
the owner of the foundry which built our engines. It is because of this that
we are a national historic site. Our engines are about 98% original. Nothing
was really replaced after we shut down in 1938. Our engines are one of the
only engines left in North America that were built in North America that are
in their original condition, in the original building and on the original
land.
