CNC - Workshop
Galesburg, Illinois June 20 - 25 2005

This is a wonderful example of what can be done with perseverance and dedication. This is the Rick-O-Matic CNC mill. Built by Rick Chownyk in spare time with bits of this and that it represents a real achievement in do it your self technology.
The table is an Enco X-Y accessory fitted with ball screws and stepper motors. The spindle is an end mill extension which uses collets to hold the tool. The base is channel iron rescued from the scrap bin. The air hose at the left is for a vacuum table.
