New Year's Day Steam Up

1 January 2013

A new year starts with the annual WLS steam up.  The day was cold, not as cold as a few years ago, and bright and sunny.  All in all a great time.  On my way to the track I picked up my long time work partner, Paul Nason.  We worked together for most of 24 years and I don't recall a cross word between us.  What a good fortune to work with someone who was also a good friend.

January 1 was the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, to be  celebrated with ringing of bells and cannon firing!

Yet again the boys scammed a pretty girl into hugs and train rides.
