Mr. Warther was taught how to carve pliers from a single piece of stock as a young man. They became his trademark, sort of the business card of today. One day while coming home he paused in the front yard gazing into the distance. He had a vision of how to carve this incredible "pliers tree" from a single piece of wood. If each individual pliers is closed one after another eventually they form a block like the one in the bottom picture. No drawings, no shavings, just a vision of an extraordinarily talented craftsman.
