Warther Carvings

After climbing the steps to the upper level of the grounds and admiring the flower arrangements we visited the "Button House".  Mr. Warther's wife had inherited here mothers collection of buttons and add her own to the lot.  Originally these geometric designs were sewn onto cloth but that had started to sag and deteriorate and not these displays are affixed to thin sheets of Coriian, the same product that is popular for countertops.   There are thousands of buttons in the collection, some very rare and valuable.  The buttons are displayed behind glass and getting good photos was a trick.  these are not great by any means but serve to show the idea.
