2013 Trinity College Fire Fighting
Home Robot Contest and RoboWaiter

I had attended this competition before but it has been a
number of years since I last went. What makes this event so unique
is the wide variety of techniques the participants use to accomplish the
task. The goal of the firefighting contest is to build an
autonomous robot that can find and extinguish a flame in a maze set up
to resemble the room of a house. The RoboWaiter contest I am not
so sure about. Perhaps someone will take a moment and educate
me. NEMES member George Gallant has competed in this contest in
the past but was not competing this year.
With entrants from across the country and around the world this a truly international event. |

If you see your exhibit or machine and would care to drop me a line or two, or even a paragraph, about it I will be delighted to add your comments to this page. Please send to webmaster@neme-s.org To identify a photo just hover your cursor over the photo and a tag should pop up. Please use the last three digits of the tag to identify the photo. For example if the tag came up DSC03974.jpg (205067 bytes) the info I would need is 976.jpg. If this is a multi page unit the page number would also be useful. |
