This is a Fellows Gear Shaper.  Again,  I had the experience of running one of these machines during my apprenticeship.  Fellows used to be just up the road in Springfield Vermont.  Sadly it suffered the fate of a number of other machine tool companies in the area.  They were bought up by an investment group, bled dry and abandoned.  While this may be capitalism in its most vicious form there ought to be an accounting for those who practice a scorched earth type of  business practice.  And people are surprised when a laid off worker shows up in the corporate headquarters armed to the teeth with vengeance in his heart.  Well.  Rant mode is off.
