John Deere Combine Plant

Moline, Illinois

This is the booth where hand spraying is done to touch up the spots that the robot arms can't get.  This process is an transparent over coating to help protect the paint which is applied electrostatically in a dip process.  The operator is wearing a positive pressure suit which protects her from the fumes.  The booth is a downdraft system with a water pool below to catch all over spray.  A sophisticated system separates the over spray from the water for proper disposal.  This picture is taken through the paint booth window.
