Welcome to Alaska

Well.  That completes this version of our trip to Alaska.  The total trip was from 30 July to 16 August 2005.  We flew from CT to Anchorage the took the observation train to Denali National Park.  A bus tour though the park where we saw many bears, wolves, caribou and moose.  We were fortunate to have a crystal clear view of Mount McKinley (also know as Denali).  Then the motor coach to Fairbanks and onto the Dalton Highway.

Leaving Prudhoe Bay we flew back to Anchorage and motor coached to the cruise ship.  Island Princess was our transportation to to Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.  We spent two days in Vancouver and visited the Butchart Gardens in Victoria B.C.

We returned home with 76 rolls of film.  If you are thinking about an Alaska trip we highly recommend Princess Cruises.

I hope that you have enjoyed this version of our trip.  I tried to keep it relevant to metalworking interests in keeping with the theme of this website.
