Now we are looking in on the travel trailer assembly area. This steel weldment jig is used to form the smooth curve of the side walls that marks an Airstream. Seen here is the exterior side of the skin. Ribs, stiffeners and other assorted bits and pieces are mounted on the inside and riveted in place. A combination of driven and pulled rivets are used depending on the location.
