NEMES March 2011 Meeting

Our speaker for the March meeting was Alan Sliski of Lincoln MA Alan is a physicist working at Orbital Therapy in Bedford MA.. His topic was the restoration project he is doing on a Warner & Swazey telescope mount. Who even knew that W&S made telescope mounts? W&S is a name usually associated with machine tools, in particular turret lathes.

The talk was very interesting and loaded with historical details about the development of various precision manufacturing.
